In this very special concert, pianist/composer Iro Haarla presents music from the Leo Records label founded by Haarla and Edward Vesala in the late 1970’s. The band: Verneri Pohjola, Juhani Aaltonen, Mikko Innanen, Ulf Krokfors, Markku Ounaskari, Iro Haarla.
The world-renowned and celebrated trio formation Speak Low brings together Berlin-based Swiss vocalist Lucia Cadotsch, Swedish-Berliners tenor saxophonist Otis Sandsjö (Y-OTIS) and bassist Petter Eldh (Koma Saxo). “Speak Low II” is out on We Jazz Records November 27 and on this release gig, the trio invites the ECM recording UK organist Kit Downes to join them.
